Evans themes conflate the body and “containers” while Lougee explores the problems of single use plastics in “Once”.
Evans work continues to explore exterior surfaces that can belie interior realities. Evoking ancient and contemporary vessels, these mysterious forms have no discernable function. They occupy space while holding space. While Evans’ work is not anecdotal, current events do inform her studio practice, hence artwork titles such as: Thirst, Steamed Up, Holding On, Slump and Roar.
