La Belle Epoque: Debussy and Ravel

Presented by Harvard Art Museums at Harvard Art Museums, Cambridge MA

Oct 01 2023
La Belle Epoque: Debussy and Ravel

Three side-by-side images of paintings show a seascape, a woman at a table, and an unclothed woman next to a statue.

Let the glorious sounds of art-inspired chamber music wash over you in the expansive, light-filled Calderwood Courtyard.

Please join for an afternoon in the light-filled Calderwood Courtyard to experience chamber music performances inspired by late 19th- and early 20th-century paintings in the museums’ collections. Cellist Guy Fishman, violinist Renée Hemsing, and pianist Renana Gutman will perform sonatas by Claude Debussy and a piano trio by Maurice Ravel.

Before and after the concert, guests are invited to visit the galleries to see the artwork linked to each piece of music.
