Having “taken the organ world by storm” (The Diapason), Katelyn Emerson presents concerts throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, showcasing repertoire spanning the 14th—21st centuries, as well as masterclasses and lectures on organ interpretation, healthy practice techniques, and sacred music.
Katelyn is laureate of international organ competitions on three continents, including the American Guild of Organists’ (AGO) National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance, Musashino International Organ Competition (Japan), International Organ Competition “Pierre de Manchicourt” (France), and Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition (Russia).
Katelyn is based in both the USA and the UK, having been awarded a Studentship from the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Music and Science. She holds a Master Orgel from the Musikhochschule Stuttgart (Germany), supported by a German Academic Exchange Scholarship (DAAD), and, as recipient of the prestigious J. William Fulbright Study/Research Grant, studied en perfectionnement at the Conservatoire de Toulouse (France). Katelyn’s double bachelors degrees in organ and French are from Oberlin College (USA) and her Certificate in Ergonomics from Colorado State University (USA). Katelyn has two CD recordings on the Pro Organo label and is associate editor of the online editorial journal Vox Humana (voxhumanajournal.com).
