Brooklyn-based trombonist Kalia Vandever’s 2019 debut album, In Bloom, announced “the rise of an exciting voice for the music” (Seton Hawkins, Hot House Jazz Magazine). Her sophomore album, Regrowth, was released on New Amsterdam Records on May 6. She has played in clubs and concert halls around the world, and also performed with Demi Lovato on Saturday Night Live and with Lizzo on Samantha Bee’s Full Frontal. As an educator, she currently leads the trombone studio at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. At the Eustis Estate, she will be joined by Lee Meadvin on guitar, Tyrone Allen on bass, and Connor Parks on drums.
