Juneteenth Celebration! History of Hip Hop Dance

Celebrate Juneteenth with a joyous performance of “Become Your Dreams: History of Hip Hop Dance” featuring the dancers of Illstyle & Peace. “Become Your Dreams” celebrates the art and movement of hip hop and includes a funky blend of locking, breaking, popping, tap and house dancing, vocal percussions, D.J.ing, and modern and traditional dance forms.

This performance will take place in the library parking lot so please bring a lawn chair and plan your parking accordingly. All ages welcome!

Illstyle & Peace Productions is a multicultural, Philadelphia-based dance company founded in 2000 by Brandon “Peace” Albright. The company creates work rooted in contemporary, West African, old school & new school hip-hop blended with an eclectic mix of dance and performance disciplines including Locking, Popping, Breaking, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop & House Dancing.
