Cafe Landwer has become a Boston favorite since it first opened here in 2018, the first branch in the US of a now international group co-founded by Nir Caspi. After serving in the Israeli special forces, he opened the first Café Landwer in Tel Aviv in 2004. In 2018, Caspi moved to the US and settled in Newton with a new mission: to develop and expand the Cafe Landwer brand in the North American market: “My inspiration is to see people from different backgrounds and cultures come together around our food and experience.” Now with two locations—one in Audubon Circle and the other in Cleveland Circle—Caspi has made his Israeli food a staple.  Join us for a deep dive into Landwer and Caspi’s story.
