JArts' JLive Monday - Streaming Art Demo with Artist Deb Putnoi

Deb Putnoi is the founder and ongoing artistic force of The Drawing Lab, founded after 9/11 “to expand people’s access to art.” Most of us think we’re not “good” at drawing – but drawing is great for engaging your mind and can be quite cathartic. She teaches people to draw in variety of ways and settings, and brings her talent to this virtual program through JLive.

Putnoi is granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, and her work is infused with the idea of memory and connection. She uses creativity as a way to bring us together, and see us as we really are. Local artist and Jewish community leader she is a fantastic teacher, and no matter your level, she’ll give you the tools to create something cool.
