Itchy Feet Nonet

After a long 4 years since our last public performance, the Itchy Feet jazz nonet is back!

Formed in 2009, the band is a nonet with six horns, keys, bass and drums. The band members are among Greater Boston\’s busiest musicians, arrangers, and educators. The band\’s repertoire spans several jazz eras, incorporating a mix of styles from swing to modern jazz.  We play all original compositions and arrangements written by David Johnson, Jim Repa and Brian Lewis. Johnson puts a new spin on classics written by legendary jazzmen, including Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock, as well as his own original compositions. Lewis and Repa further expand the band’s repertoire with their own arrangements and original compositions, providing an entirely different spectrum of captivating tonalities.
