Beginning October 1, 2020, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is pleased to announce that admission will be free Thursday afternoon and evening hours on the first Thursday of every month from October through June from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Beginning October 1, 2020, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is pleased to announce that admission will be free Thursday afternoon and evening hours on the first Thursday of every month from October through June from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Museum is significantly increasing the number of free hours, from 37 per year to 95. In addition to this new free Thursday programming, the Gardner will continue its beloved, free Neighborhood Nights.

PARKING INFO

A limited number of free and metered spots are available near the Gardner Museum. We also offer discounted parking at the next-door Simmons School of Management Garage and are walking distance from the lots at the Museum of Fine Arts.

SIMMONS UNIVERSITY PARKING
Discounted* parking is available on Levels P1-P3 of the Simmons School of Management (SOM) Garage, at 86 Avenue Louis Pasteur.

MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS PARKING
Three parking lots are available at the Museum of Fine Arts, on Museum Road accessible from Huntington Avenue or from the Fenway.

 

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum is operating under a highly restricted visitor capacity. All tickets must be purchased, even for free event, ahead of time through the Gardner’s website and entering will be on a timed ticket system. While in the museum, all must wear a face covering and maintain a safe six feet from other patrons. Wipes and hand sanitizer are available.
