Into the Collection: Orientalism and Expedition Photography

Into the Collection offers visitors an opportunity to view and learn more about objects from the McMullen Museum’s permanent collection rarely on display. In conjunction with the McMullen’s current exhibition, Taking Shape: Abstraction from the Arab World, 1950s–1980s, Assistant Director Diana Larsen, aided by the Museum’s Student Ambassadors, will offer a virtual presentation on Orientalism and works of expedition photography in the Museum’s collection. Visitors are invited to learn from the presenters, ask questions, and share their  knowledge and observations.
