Interstellar

Curated by TCAN’s Cinema Programs Director Nicola Anderson, the TCAN Spotlight Series will provide moviegoers with an opportunity to enjoy the work of a single film industry icon, presented on the big screen as the films were intended to be seen. February will feature British-American film director Christopher Nolan, with selected movies from his catalog of award-winning films.

Interstellar (2014) – With a cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Ellen Burstyn, Interstellar is set in a dystopian future where humanity is struggling to survive, following a group of astronauts who travel through a wormhole near Saturn in search of a new home for mankind. The film received the Oscar for Best Visual Effects, and nominations for Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Production Design.
