INSIDE @ MANSHIP : UNINTERRUPTED TIME

Artist-in-residence programs give artists the opportunity to live and work outside of their usual surroundings and away from the concerns of their everyday lives. Residencies provide artists uninterrupted time to reflect, dive deep into questions that may have been puzzling them, and to produce work in a supportive environment. Manship Artists’ pandemic response — Outside @ Manship — was designed to bring local artists from Cape Ann to the grounds of Manship for a little while as a respite during COVID. Come celebrate the first day of National Poetry Month with us! Meet two poets who benefited from time at Manship as they share what happened while they were there. Cantabrigian Charles Coe is the author of three books of poetry and an adjunct professor of English at Salve Regina University. Poet Monica Manoski is an artist, community organizer, Reiki practitioner, and the Executive Director of the Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA.
