Curated by TCAN’s Cinema Programs Director Nicola Anderson, the TCAN Spotlight Series will provide moviegoers with an opportunity to enjoy the work of a single film industry icon, presented on the big screen as the films were intended to be seen. February will feature British-American film director Christopher Nolan, with selected movies from his catalog of award-winning films.

Memento (2001) – Receiving Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing, and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, Memento is a neo-noir psychological thriller starring Guy Pearce as a man tracking down the assailant who raped and murdered his wife. The difficulty of locating his wife’s killer is compounded by the fact that he suffers from a rare, untreatable form of memory loss. Although he can recall details of life before his accident, Leonard cannot remember what happened fifteen minutes ago, where he’s going, or why.
