HONK! Festival: 17th Annual Festival of Activist Street Bands. A four day gathering, that takes place in Somerville and surrounding neighborhoods; held outdoors, rain or shine. Free and open to all.
The HONK! Festival, a music fest originally conceived and presented in 2006 right here in Somerville (MA), caught on immediately in the local area. Since then HONK! has also become an international phenomenon.
Given that, the very first ever local HONK! Festival is now seventeen years strong, prevailing annually in early October, in spite of the very recent tough years.
