Home Is Where the Heart Is

Cambridge Chinese Choral Society (CCCS), the premier Chinese-language choral group in the Greater Boston area, presents its 2020 New Year Concert. Our music Director, Dr. Yufen Yen, will lead CCCS to perform its 2020 New Year Concert “Home Is Where the Heart Is”, painting a picture of what “home” is to our members and audience through a heartwarming selection of choral music on themes of family, friendship, and community. The program will feature many contemporary compositions revolving around these themes, including “The Seal Lullaby”, “Glow”, and “This Marriage” by the well-known choral composer Eric Whitacre. The Gregorian chant-inspired “Ubi Caritas” by Ola Gjeilo reflects upon our love for each other and for God, while “Please Stay” by Jake Runestad provides a powerful reminder that we can all make a difference to those around us battling their inner demons. CCCS has also selected songs popularized by the Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers, such as the heartwarming remembrance in “Grandma” and the inner dialogue of a secret crush in “I Like”. Regardless of what “home” is to you, “Home is Where the Heart Is” is definitely the concert of the year that you do not want to miss!

【歸宿】-劍橋合唱團2019冬季音樂會，用音樂帶你回家

又是一年歲末時，劍橋合唱團2020年初將以【歸宿】為主題，精心選取10多首溫暖的國內外著名曲目，為大家帶來一場溫馨與心安的冬季音樂會。
不管是青春萌芽的《當我們一起走過》，還是《台北的天空》，都將讓你瞬間陷入青春奮鬥和背井離鄉的回憶。而《This Marriage》、《Ubi Caritas》則讓人徐徐感受到成家立業後家庭的溫暖，以及從小愛到大愛的平靜與心安。舒緩的搖籃曲《The Seal Lullaby》，親切令人懷念的《外婆》，則不知不覺將你帶入三代同堂相互陪伴的幸福。其中《The Seal Lullaby》, 《Glow》, 《This Marriage》由著名合唱作曲家Eric Whitacre所做。此外，音樂會還將帶來膾炙人口的上海彩虹合唱團指揮金承志寫的多首曲目，值得期待。
在這個歲末家人團圓之際，無論你在哪裡，不管你走了多久的路，嚐遍多少酸甜苦楚，我們希望用這場音樂會讓你找到家的心安，讓音樂將帶領你回到與家人溫情相伴的幸福團聚時光。
