Holiday Pops: Festive Stories for the Whole Family

Music Director Cynthia Woods will lead the CSO in a live-streamed event featuring:

Dancers from City Ballet of Boston—with choreography from their resident choreographer, Gianni Gino Di Marco—for a special, mini version of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker

The UMass Lowell choir department (Jonathan Richter, director) for a performance of “Children Will Listen” from Into the Woods

A visit from Santa

A celebration of Hanukkah

Our Spotlight Partner for this event is the Boston String Academy, which provides rigorous string instrument instruction to children in under-served communities and is based on the Venezuelan El Sistema philosophy that utilizes music as a vehicle for social change.
