Handbuilding

In this handbuilding class, students will learn to adapt familiar studio ceramics methods to the home environment. Students will learn specific techniques for staging projects, managing drying times, and can opt into making time-saving DIY mold forms. Students will expand artistic goals to take advantage of the more frequent access to their projects.

Logistics of managing interruptions and getting large or fragile work from the home setting to the clay studio for processing will be discussed.

Tuition and materials fee includes 25lbs of clay to be scheduled for student pick-up at The Umbrella and all firing and glazing opportunities available for the duration of the session (March/April)
