Guerilla Opera opens The Guerilla Underground 2022 Season with an extended run of the world premiere animated film featuring Guerilla Opera’s mastered recording of Rumpelstiltskin, with music by Marti Epstein, libretto by Marti Epstein and Greg Smucker, and with shadow puppetry animation and direction by Deniz Khateri. Based on a classic fairy tale, a magical and deformed little man only wants one thing in life, unconditional love. When a greedy king kidnaps and forces a young maiden to spin straw into gold, the little man helps her, under one disturbing condition.
