Great Marsh Project

As part of a collaboration between the Artists for the Great Marsh and the Manship Artists Residency, this concert features the premiere of a work by LJ White, 2022 Composer in Residence, for youth voices and piano on the theme of the human and natural history of the Great Marsh. Conducted by Rebecca Kenneally of Endicott College, the chorus will include members of the Rockport Middle School chorus, rehearsed by Patti Pike, and the Endicott College Choir. The program also includes Robert Honstein’s “Great Marsh” string quartet piece (premiered a number of years ago by Music at Eden’s Edge) and a new piano quintet by Gloucester composer Robert Bradshaw. Cellist Jacques Lee Wood leads the string players and Christopher Lawnsby is the pianist for both premieres.
