Guerilla Opera and the Museum of Science, Boston present “FRACTURED,” on the SubSpace series, the Museum’s experimental playground for developing fresh and original social experiences for adults. “FRACTURED” is a performance exhibition of two new works that explore the themes of fractured experiences. “Distorted Attitudes III/ Scattered,” with music and text by Anahita Abbasi, is the mimesis of a schizophrenic mind, in which the body and the psyche combat for control of emotions. “SALT,” with music by Bahar Royaee and text by Deniz Khateri, is a world premiere and a portrait of an elder woman who, as she cooks soup, reflects on her salty life of feeling trapped in an abusive marriage.
The evening features performances by soprano and Artistic Director Aliana de la Guardia and ensemble members baritone Brian Church and percussionist Mike Williams and is directed by Deniz Khateri.
