5:50pm Opening Ceremony: Giant puppets, motor vehicles, woodwind instruments and more will take part in the First Night Boston Parade that runs from Copley Square to Boston Common. A speaking program from the Copley Square will begin at 5:50 with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. The parade will process down Boylston Street, turning left on Charles Street, before participants will finish at the Boston Common. Once the last parade performers have gone past, the general public is invited to follow in and walk to Boston Common for the 7:00 p.m. family fireworks.
11:30pm: The First Night Copley Countdown will bring Boston closer to 2023 with live performances, a laser show, and a midnight pyrotechnics display high above Copley Square. Music will continue until 12:30 a.m.
