Dive into the historical geography of Fields Corner with Atlascope, the newest research technology from the Leventhal Map & Education Center at the Boston Public Library that provides a user-friendly portal for exploring digitized urban atlases. Available in desktop and mobile versions, ATLASCOPE serves serious research as well as on-the-spot history lessons with free, location-based access to detailed atlases in the BPL collection. Leventhal staff will be doing neighborhood-specific deep dives of community development and interesting historical tidbits for Fields Corner on November 4th on both YouTube and Facebook Live from 7:00pm to 8:15pm.”
