Family Opera Day

Join Boston Lyric Opera for an inspiring and creative afternoon designed for the whole family!

Learn about opera through fun crafts and interactive activities, watch and be part of a mini live performance of Opera Stories: Cinderella (inspired by Rossini’s La Cenerentola), play theatre games led by BLO Teaching Artists, and more! The afternoon will include snacks, coloring activities, bracelet-making, and dress-up photo ops.

Recommended for ages 5-12, though all ages are welcome.

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
