Faculty Concert: “Wander the World”

Please join Winchester Community Music School for its first faculty concert of the new year, featuring Ceora Jaffe on flute and guest Lysander Jaffe on viola. The haunting combination of flute and viola will be highlighted in pieces such as Reena Esmail’s Nadiya, inspired by Hindustani classical music, and Divertimento by Adolphus Hailstork, dedicated as a wedding gift to two dear musician friends. These classical pieces will be paired with folk-inspired duets by Béla Bartók along with tunes from Greece and the Balkans, where Lysander has studied traditional music; the program will be held in-person at WCMS and also streamed live on our YouTube and Facebook pages.
