Faculty Artist Series: Sarianna Duo

The Sarianna Duo present a program bookended by the beloved Mozart Duo in B-flat Major (1783) andThree Madrigals (1947) by Martinů. These larger works are joined by Sibelius’s Duo in C (1891), Kaija Saariaho’s Aure (2011), and Sonata No. 1 for Two Violins (1800) by Guadeloupean Creole composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The repertoire showcases music from the early classical to the almost contemporary and highlights the sparkling virtuosity of both instrument  while also showing how they can blend, sometimes indecipherably, into one instrument.
