From school uniforms to white dresses, we spend our lives in fabric that holds meaning. Join artist, Chanel Thervil, to explore power and symbolism in fabric and textile arts. The workshop will begin with a guided tour of Sonya Clark’s exhibitions, Monumental Cloth and Heavenly Bound. Following the tour, participants will learn about quilts used on the Underground Railroad to communicate routes, help, safety, or danger.
