Encaustic Workshop with Mixed Media Artist, Jennifer Toler. Participants will be able to experiment with the process and create their own encaustic pieces.
This workshop will introduce techniques for using Encaustic wax as a Mixed Media medium. Emphasis will be put on using Encaustic wax as a basis for collage. Skills covered will include: collaging, painting, layering, relief and image transfer. Participants will be able to experiment with the process and create their own encaustic pieces. Necessary materials will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring some of their favorite collage elements, papers and graphics if they like.
