Boston singer-songwriter Ava Sophia’s R&B groove is neo-soul inspired by India.Arie and Alicia Keys.

With laid back R&B feels and emotionally driven, honest lyrics influenced by neo-soul legends India.Arie, Jill Scott and Alicia Keys, Ava Sophia blends soulful grooves and acoustic pop.

This is part of the Eliot Schoolyard Concert Series, 15 live events, Sundays at 4pm, June through September at the beautiful Eliot Schoolyard in Jamaica Plain.

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
