In 2017, CMCB hired a new leader of color. Since that time, CMCB has navigated a global pandemic, balanced its business model, and almost doubled the endowment. Additionally, CMCB has also had a 150% increase of BIPOC membership on the board, a 400% increase in BIPOC staff leadership, a 140% increase of total BIPOC staff, and a 100% increase in BIPOC faculty.
