Dave Hause & Will Hoge

As fellow purveyors of rugged, literate roots rock, songwriters Dave Hause and Will Hoge have much in common. They join forces in Rockport for a double bill of soulful Americana and are both touring in support of new solo records, Hause’s Blood Harmony and Hoge’s Wings on My Shoes.

For the first part of Dave Hause’s career, he was known as the frontman of the earnest Philly punk rock band The Loved Ones. For most of the 2000’s The Loved Ones toured the country and released critically acclaimed records, but in 2009 Hause decided to venture down a different musical path; that of a folk rock troubadour. While still retaining a punk rock spirit, Hause gradually made a name for himself as a singer-songwriter, releasing records under his own name like 2013’s Devour and 2017’s Bury Me in Philly. In 2021 he teamed up with his brother Tim Hause and traveled to Nashville to record Blood Harmony, an album produced by Nashville veteran and fellow singer-songwriter Will Hoge.

WILL HOGE
For two decades, Will Hoge has carried the torch for American rock & roll, carving out his own blue-collar sound rooted in amplified guitars, melodic hooks, southern soul, and rootsy stomp. It’s a sound that nods to the best moments of the past—the punch of Tom Petty’s anthems; the countrified twang of Buck Owens’ singing; the raw, greasy cool of the Rolling Stones—while still pushing forward into new territory with Hoge’s storytelling and larger-than-life voice leading the charge on his new album, Wings on My Shoes, which will be released in late August.
