Concert in the Garden with Willie J. Laws

Close out the summer with a beautiful night of music and dancing! Guitarist and vocalist Willie J. Laws and pianist Bruce Mattson bring a unique blend of funk, blues, and jazz to the garden. Local beer and wine will also be available for purchase. This is a family event, and kids are free!

Willie J. Laws’ Texas soul roots have awarded him three nominations for Best Blues Act from both the New England Music Awards and the Boston Music Awards. Bruce Mattson is a graduate of Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music and a former member of the Gregg Allman Band. Together they create amazing funk music that’s sure to get you on your feet!

Minton Stable Community Garden is a much-loved community garden and park located at 110 Williams Street in JP. It is part of The Trustees’ network of 56 community gardens in Boston. There’s some free street parking in the neighborhood but biking, walking, Orange Line, and buses are other great ways to get to the garden.
