The 2020 winter juried art show focuses on our experiences living and playing along the New England Coast. Artists have been invited to share their view of our slice of the world in this annual show.
The Vine Hall Gallery is a multi-use space that provides a place for local artists to share their artwork depicting the natural world (please call ahead for viewing availability). “We use all of our senses to experience the natural world and the creativity of paint, pencil and camera enables us to share that with others.” Chris Jacobs, executive director of SSNSC says. “Through careful observation we can recreate or imagine our world in new ways.” Programs and exhibits in Vine Hall are partially funded through a Cultural Investment Portfolio Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
The South Shore Natural Science Center is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the South Shore YMCA and is dedicated to educating the public about the natural and cultural environments of the South Shore. Their mission is to provide natural science experiences that educate, excite, and commit every generation to preserve the environment and to encourage responsible use, stewardship, and enjoyment of our natural resources.
