A protean performer, Chucho is as comfortable offering solo performances as leading small and large ensembles. In 2018, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences™, was inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, and received a DC Jazz Festival Lifetime Achievement Award.
