Choral concert by the Cambridge Community Chorus, Director Pamela Mindell. With Chamber Orchestra and special guests Cambridge Rindge and Latin School Traveling Chorus, Director Ivan Stefanov.
Centered around Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo's symphonic Sunrise Mass for double chorus (2008), the program will appeal to everyone who enjoys accessible, joyful choral music, lush harmonies and inspiring text-setting. Other selections include Daniel Pinkham's Wedding Cantata, Z.Randall Stroope's Omnia Sol, and a set of songs performed by the outstanding young musicians of the CRLS Traveling Chorus, fresh from their recent appearance at Carnegie Hall.
