Brookline Music School Fall Open House

Visit Brookline Music School and get a hands-on introduction to more than a dozen different instruments at their Instrument Petting Zoo; try a selection of demo group classes for our youngest students ranging in age from newborn to 7 years; hear a live performance by BMS students; meet several of our dedicated instructors and staff members; and have your questions answered re: private lesson scheduling and programs for every age.

The Instrument Petting Zoo will occur throughout the building from 10 am – 1 pm. It will provide an engaging hands-on introduction to a wide selection of instruments, scheduled to include; Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Flute, Clarinet, Recorder, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone Horn, Piano, and Drums.

Demo classes for young children are approximately 20 to 25 minutes in length and are planned as follows:

10:00 am

Music Play & Musical Adventures, ages newborn to 4, Parlor
Music Moves for Piano, ages 4 to 6, Dance Studio

10:30 am

Sing Like A Star, ages 4 to 6, Parlor
Movement & Dance, ages 4 to 8, Dance Studio

11:00 am

Meet & Greet with the teachers, all ages, Parlor
Harmonica Demo, ages six and up, Dance Studio

11:30 am

Vocal Discovery, ages 6 to 11, Parlor
Music Moves for Piano, ages 4 to 6, Dance Studio

Noon

Move, Sing, Drum!, ages 4 to 5, Parlor
Open Q&A; Classes for Young Children, Dance Studio

Runs until 1 pm, open session, drop in anytime

12:30 pm Instrument Discovery, ages 5 to 6,m Parlor

1:00 pm

BMS Student Recital, all ages, Parlor

No registration or fee is required; drop in, and be prepared to sing, dance, and have fun!
