Bright Half Life by Tanya Barfield, directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian. Running January 23rd – February 16th at the BCA Plaza Theater presented by Actors’ Shakespeare Project.
Bright Half Life follows the decades-spanning journey of lesbian couple Erica and Vicky. They meet, fall in love, marry, have children, and eventually divorce—not necessarily in that order. This dream logic rules Bright Half Life—between courtship, marriage, parenthood, loss, and divorce, the characters grapple with intersectionality, legality, identity, and the concept of soulmates.
