Boston Turkish Festival’s Documentary and Short Film Competition provides a rare opportunity for filmmakers to have a platform in the USA for their films to reach an international audience as well as film critics. The first of its kind organized in North America and celebrating its 17th year, the competition has transformed to a great tradition where Bostonians are able to explore works of the emerging and established filmmakers first hand. The Competition opening night and non-competition screenings will take place at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston on November 11th and 12th. All competition screenings are online and will be streaming between November 13 – 23.
In addition to the ‘Best Documentary” and “Best Short Film” Awards to be voted by the jury, we will also announce the “Audience Awards”. You may vote for your favorite film online after you watch the film. Therefore, we invite you all ‘movie enthusiasts’ to come and participate in this fun process! There are 24 films in the program; 11 documentaries and 13 short films which are screened in 10 sessions. Please check the program for details. Don’t forget to vote online for your favorite film for the audience award after the screening!
This project is supported in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
