Boston Baltic Film Festival

World-class feature films and documentaries for all generations offer a unique opportunity to get to know the Baltic soul – creative, reflective, and rebellious. Organized by American Latvian National League and Baltic Film Committee, in collaboration with ArtsEmerson.

“Self Made Cameraman” (Estonia) is a lighthearted comedy, set in 1913, features the adventures of a talented photographer who films a unique community where women’s “rapping” is a way of life.

“A to B Rollerski” (Latvia) is an epic adventure documentary about a Latvian-born U.S. biathlon champion, who roller-skis from Alaska to Mexico. He uses his trip not only as a way to sort out his life but also as a way to protest the USSR and to promote the freedom of his native Latvia.

“I Want to Live” (Lithuania) is a romantic coming of age drama, examining the difference of being alive versus actually living.
