About the Opera:

When Nemorino, a bashful bus boy, has his heart set on the vivacious bar owner, Adina, it’s going to take more than dogged persistence to win her over. Fortunately, a traveling salesman has just the thing: a pheromone-laden brew that’s guaranteed to turn heads and hearts. But will the potion work before Adina is swept off her feet by a dashing soldier?

BOC’s fresh take on opera’s most charming comedy is an effervescent romp—and the perfect antidote to three years of dark stages! Performed in the Substation in Roslindale—a new cultural icon with a beerhall vibe—there will be plenty of “elixir” on tap and uncorked for the audience, as well!
