Black Portals II: Summer Dance Party

Join us on July 22nd, 2023 from 7PM – 12AM ET at Black Market Nubian for an unforgettable night of dancing, music, food, and digital art.

Prepare to be transported through space and time, to realms where Black spirits thrive, joy and dance reigns supreme, and honoring our body, words and communities is commonplace. Black Portals is a recurring dance party and digital projection art exhibition sponsored by the Boston Ujima Project, and curated by Black and Brown artists in Boston and beyond.

For the affair, wear a busy print, loud color, Black, or something sparkly, then dance with Black Boston as we honor our vitality and ensure our futurity.

We’ll have visual projections curated by Digital Soup throughout the space, a live DJ to keep the vibes going, seasoned food and cool beverages throughout the night.

Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door, and you’re welcome to make a charitable donation in addition to that. This is a 21+ event.
