Berklee World Strings, directed by Berklee College of Music string professor Eugene Friesen, presents an evening of original music from Eastern Europe, Iran, Israel, Brazil, Finland, Peru, and the United States.
Special guests include two Berklee faculty artists—violinist Chelsey Greenand cellist Patrice Jackson performing Darol Anger's "The Amen Corner"—and vocalist Marian Layousse performing "The Passion of Rumi" by Hafez Nazeri. Top Berklee student composers and improvisers also will perform.
