Join the singers of Boston Children’s Chorus as they reflect on Dr. King’s life, his formative years and transformation into the most recognized Civil Rights icon.

Boston Children’s Chorus performs “Becoming King,” the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert. The performance, on January 16, 2023 at 4:00pm ET at Boston’s Symphony Hall, showcases music and spoken word to honor Dr. King, who dedicated his life to fighting for racial justice and equality. The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
