Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble presents a concert (simultaneously live-stream and in-person) featuring new music amidst the steam-powered pumps of the Waterworks Museum.
New musical works by Kui Dong, Nina Young, Stephanie Lubkowski, Anthony Green, and Gerard Grisey play on the tension between the representational and the abstract. The presence of the steam-driven water pumps, providing Boston's water in the 19th century, inhabiting the interior of the Waterworks museum, reminds us of this friction between nature and the world of engineering and urban planning in Boston.
