The recent murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers has sparked outrage and sorrow in us all.
In response to this moment, this Thursday we invite you, members of our community, to each choose a short piece of writing that you feel speaks to this moment. In other words, instead of setting the agenda, we ask you to find something you would like to share and read with the rest of the group.
The piece might rouse, provoke, or console. The piece can be a poem, an excerpt from an essay, a dramatic cutting from a play or novel, or even something you have personally written. We only ask that each piece not exceed 7 minutes in length.
Please join us as we join a nationwide conversation that needs to happen, together.
