The Arlington Jazz Festival, now in its 13th year, is scheduling a wide variety of musical events, presented over a 4-day stretch, in several venues around the town, with headliner Christian McBride and his quintet performing on the final day.

Arlington Jazz Festival‘s Day 2 features two FREE separate concerts (donations welcome):
— At 7:00 pm: the Arlington High School Jazz Band. Held at the Arlington High School Auditorium, 869 Massachusetts Ave.
— At 8:15 pm. The Boston/Havana Connection, led by Dan Fox, will present a descarga (a Latin jazz jam session) which will feature visiting Cuban musicians from the band Espirales, who will be featured in a separate concert on Day 3 of the Festival. Espirales includes Tania Haase (violin & vocals), Olivia Rodríguez (bass), Alejandro Aguiar (percussion), Jesús Estrada (percussion), and Rodrigo García (keyboards), The Boston Havana Connection includes Boston-area jazz musicians, along with a few Cuban musicians currently living in the Boston-area: Dan Fox (trombone), Mark Greel (trumpet), Anabel Gil Diaz (flute), Hilary Noble (sax & conga), and Estefanía Núñez Villamandos (keyboards). — At 9:30 pm: Lydia Harrell w/ the Jesse Williams Quartet. Take note: this concert held at the Menotomy Grill, 25 Massachusetts Ave.

The entire run of the Arlington Jazz Festival features concerts held in various venues around the town of Arlington. Admission prices will vary depending on the event. The Festival’s headquarters is based out of Morningside Music Studios.
