Performances will be live-streamed for the public as they are performed to an in-person audience of Wellesley College students, faculty, and staff.

MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient Suzan-Lori Parks took it upon herself to write a play a day for an entire year, inviting theatres across the landscape of America to pass the torch of producing these works for 52 straight weeks. Some funny, some harrowing, some surprisingly familiar, some seemingly unstage-able, each short piece (of the 30 curated plays that we will stage) presents a wonderful canvas for our interpretation, using all the techniques and imagination that live theatrical performance can demand. 365/365 Producer Bonnie Metzger writes this project “starts with a shared commitment to putting art at the very center of life – not as a monument but as a commonplace necessity like fire, water, bread or shoes…Never has a project aspired to include this many artists and audiences across the country. But the 365 Festival is not building a new community; it is revealing community where it already exists – in theatres both grand and modest, in schoolrooms, storefronts, nursing homes and alleyways.”
