2021 Portfolio Review

Since 2008, the Cambridge Art Association (CAA) has hosted an all-media portfolio review for New England-based artists. Currently, this is the only ongoing all-media portfolio review for professional artists in Eastern Massachusetts. Portfolio Reviews are a valuable step in an artist’s professional development, and give the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and receive critical feedback from leading curators, gallerists, and independent arts professionals.
PORTFOLIO REVIEW FEES
For current Cambridge Art Association members:

$65 for a single, 20-minute session
$60/per session for 3 or more, 20-minute sessions

For Non-Members:

$80 for a single, 20-minute session
$75/per session for 3 or more, 20-minute sessions

Sponsored Reviews for BIPOC Artists:

In keeping with Cambridge Art Association’s continued commitment to build a more equitable future for all members of our community, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering a select number of individually sponsored portfolio reviews for interested BIPOC artists.

These sponsored reviews are open to all artists who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) working and living within New England (including the Indigenous lands and territories of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island). Artists should indicate their preferred reviewer in the application below. At this time, we anticipate offering 1 sponsored review per applicant, with a maximum number of 15 total sponsored reviews. Priority applications for sponsored reviews are due by 5pm on February 25th and will be accepted on a rolling basis thereafter or until all sponsored review spots are filled. (Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions about a specific reviewer or are unsure of who might be the best fit for you and your work!). Click here to apply for a Sponsored Review
