So if you’re looking for unique gifts, art for your own personal collection, or just looking to check out the local talent we’ve put together a helpful schedule of all the Open Studios happening in Boston this fall.
Meet artists, see demonstrations, listen to music, try new restaurants, and buy artwork. You can also peruse off-the-beaten path retail shops in Boston’s historic neighborhoods!

A free, weekend-long event that includes a dozen studio buildings and more than 250 artists, encompassing all of Boston’s South End, attracting thousands of visitors from surrounding towns as well as the greater Boston area.
Located in one of Boston’s most eclectic neighborhood, JP Open Studios free showcases the artwork of up to 200 artists at 40 sites including artists’ studios, the historic Eliot School, the Haffenreffer brewery complex and more.

Roxbury Open Studios showcases the work of Roxbury’s artists. Visit a range of private studios and public spaces hosting artists, and then explore artistic excellence in the heart of Roxbury.
Located in one of Boston’s oldest artists communities, Fort Point Open Studios features more than 50 artists studios, galleries, shops, performances, music, artists’ talks and demonstrations, and hands on art activities for all ages.
The Mattapan Arts Fest is the Mattapan Arts Council (MAC) annual family-friendly “Open Studios” event featuring local artists, makers, vendors, pop-up art exhibits, creative demonstrations, and more.
Harvard Ceramics Show and Sale, a part of Allston Open Studios
This weekend celebration of arts in the Allston area features artists open studios, plus the annual Harvard Ceramics Program show and sale.
Roslindale Open Studios is a family-friendly event featuring artists from Roslindale and beyond selling paintings, jewelry, pottery, textiles, photography, mixed-media, and more.
South Boston Open Studios
Artists in the community will display their work, invite guests to learn about their process and provide an opportunity for them to purchase original work.
This event provides a rare opportunity to meet and talk with artists of the Fenway Studios as well as to see the inside of this National Historic Landmark.
Visit Charlestown’s Stove Factory Gallery and with artists selling painting, fiber arts, paper making, photography and even violin making.
