A Hippo Poet at sea is stuck in a rut of writer’s block when he finds his boat filling with new and peculiar characters seeking shelter, together they navigate conflict, generosity, kindness, and questions about who they are.
Rock the Boat was created by a multi-ethnic ensemble who combine puppetry, movement, music, and poetry to explore themes of refuge, inclusion, and respectful curiosity. The show aims to get young audiences thinking about relocation, displacement and the interconnectedness of racial, climate, and social justice.
