Brandi Carlile is a 11-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, performer, No. 1 New York Times-bestselling author, and activist, who is known as one of music's most respected voices. Throughout her acclaimed career, Carlile has released seven studio albums including her most recent, the three-time Greammy-winning "In These Silent Days." She continues her work as a renowned producer on recent Grammy Award-winning projects with Joni Mitchell and Brandy Clark, as well as the upcoming debut EP from Tish Melton. Carlile also produced and recorded a rendition of Indigo Girls' Closer To Fine with her wife, Catherine, that was included on "Barbie: The Album (Best Weekend Ever Edition)," as well as a version of the song Home which was featured in the final season of "Ted Lasso."

Beloved by her peers, Carlile has collaborated with artists such as Elton John, The Highwomen, Soundgarden, Alicia Keys, and Dolly Parton. She was named Out Magazine's 2023 Icon of the Year, awarded Billboard's Women In Music Trailblazer Award, CMT's Next Women of Country Impact Award, and NMPA's 2023 Songwriter Icon Award, and received multiple recognitions from the Americana Music Association. On top of being a musician and writer, Carlile is a founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised more than $4 million for grassroots causes to date. Carlile lives in rural Washington state with her wife and two daughters, Evangeline and Elijah.

Parking Info

Linde Center for Music and Learning

For events at the Linde Center, free parking is available in the Bachrach Lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Please use the 3A W Hawthorne Rd., Lenox, MA address to navigate to the Linde Center. During the fall, winter, and spring, the only events taking place on campus are at the Linde Center. The grounds will not be open during concert times to walk there from other lots.

  • Linde Center's Bachrach Lot may fill up to capacity prior to everyone’s arrival. If you are arriving closer to the event start time, please be prepared to park at the Tanglewood Main Gate and take the free shuttle service provided to the Linde Center. There will be signage at the Main Gate noting if the Bachrach Lot is full.

Around the Rest of Campus

From June through August, we offer free parking in the general parking lots accessible via West Street (Route 183) and the passholder-reserved lots for donors accessible from Tanglewood Drive. During the summer, our parking attendants are on duty two hours prior to the performance gate times.

Patrons with disabilities who have an official parking plate or placard are advised to park at handicap-designated parking areas. If you are attending a performance at the Koussevitzky Music Shed, please make your way to the Main Gate area, where our accessible lot is located for Shed performances. For Linde Center performances, there are handicap parking spaces available, as well as wheelchair escort assistance from the parking lot to the door of Studio E.

Please alert a parking attendant or a police officer upon your arrival to Tanglewood if handicap parking and/or wheelchair transport or escort assistance is required.
